Engagement Technology LLC was founded by leaders in the incentive business who listened to the brands and incentive companies and identified a need to improve the efficiency of catalog and reward management. Our top management team has extensive experience in the incentive business, both on the incentive company and brand side. Our technology team has been involved with the development of incentive reward catalogs for nearly a decade.
Michael S. Hadlow, President, Chief Executive Officer
Mike has over 30 years business experience ranging from strategy consultant to senior corporate executive through entrepreneur and business owner. His career has spanned the commercial travel industry, the travel agency business, the restaurant business, and the incentive industry. He has been the executive vice president and chief operating officer of a billion dollar commercial travel agency, and he was the owner and chief executive officer of USMotivation, a top-ten, full-service incentive company based in Atlanta. During his tenure, the company’s compounded growth rate exceeded 30 percent per year. Mike has also owned and operated fast/casual restaurants in Atlanta.
Mike is also active in the incentive industry as a trustee of the Incentive Research Foundation. During his 11-year involvement, he has chaired the Research and Communications committees, served as a two-term president, and currently serves on the Executive and Marketing Communications committees. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance. In addition, he was a founding trustee of the Forum for People Performance Management and Measurement (affiliated with Northwestern University) serving on its board from 2000 – 2007.
Mike grew up in Ontario, Canada and earned a BBA (honors) from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and a MBA from the Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. He became a US citizen in 2003 and lives in Atlanta with his wife Theresa (“T”), daughter Mikayla and son Alden.
Andrea Lightman, Vice President, Customer Operations
Andrea Lightman has over 25 years experience in sales, marketing and operations, including 10 years in the incentive business. Before joining Engagement Technology LLC, Andrea was Vice President, Operations, for FarCountries.com, an e-commerce site targeting the wholesale gift market. She was in charge of managing web site development customer relationships and e-mail marketing.
Before joining ET, Andrea was Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Visions, a sales and marketing company focusing on providing promotional products for Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to her position at Corporate Visions, Andrea was Vice President of Special Markets for the Lillian Vernon Corp., where she oversaw all sales, marketing and operations of group focusing on providing promotional products and incentives to Fortune 500 companies. During her five years with Lillian Vernon, the division’s sales rose to $10 million from $1 million.
She has also held positions in financial services marketing and software development in the insurance industry.
She has a BS in economics-systems science from the University of California at Los Angeles, and an MBA in finance and marketing from Columbia University.
